I knew that Isles wasn’t in the few few books, but damn, it didn’t feel like Rizzoli was in this one either. All I know about her is that, just like every woman in a male-dominated field, she has a thirst to prove herself and is always on defense. Very one dimensional so far. I don’t know much about this series, and I didn’t watch the show, but it feels like this was a stand-alone novel that became a series. Hoping Rizzoli gets fleshed our way more in the second one. I want to love her like I do Lacey Flint and Kim Stone.
