I heard so many good reviews about this book so I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype for me. I found the writing to be quite juvenile and it reminded me of a Wattpad story (not that those are all bad).

My main question about this book is what sane person runs for hours everyday?

I found the storyline confusing. The witness protection part seemed to be forgotten or not taken seriously in most of the book. The story was very repetitive, I could've skim read the whole book and correctly guessed what's happening next. Every chapter is similar and it feels like the FMC lives the same day on repeat.
I found the FMC to be a 'pick me' which was quite annoying. It felt like the author had just muddled different personality traits together which at times didn't add up. The 'Why Choose' felt forced and rushed especially towards the end.
The book had very little spice which I was glad about considering most of the main characters were in highschool.
