Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.

Some questionable sections injecting race solely to mention it, and then moving on. Just for the appearance of being self aware, I suppose. Felt jarring and shallow, and completely unrelated to the story. Random other bits I just didn’t like, and found myself skimming. Also seemed like it could go in a very weird and icky way re sexuality (or another shallow and useless “examination” of the topic lmao). Why waste time reading a book I’m not into?
