Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne

4.0

This is my first Sally Thorne book and I’ve got to say I really enjoyed my time reading this. You follow 25 year old Ruthie who works and lives in a luxury retirement village and doesn’t really have much of a life outside that job. Then comes tattoo artist Teddy, who ends up getting a temporary job where Ruthie works, meaning they are working together and both living in a semi-detached house, which results in them first forming a friendship, which then develops to something more. I really liked Teddy because he at first seems like he is going to be a stereotypical bad boy because he has been with loads of girls and has tattoos all over him, but he’s actually super sweet and so caring of Ruthie. The book also has a little bit of steam at the end which was nice to read about. I honestly think friends to lovers is the superior trope and I’ll always stand by that
