Duke of Midnight
by Elizabeth Hoyt
Duke of Midnight is basically 18th century Batman. We've got a Duke who's parents were murdered when he was a child and he seeks their revenge by night as a masked vigilante. As expected there is also a (bat)cave under his mansion and an older valet who has some very non-valet skills.
Our heroine is a lady's companion with a twin brother wrongly imprisoned in an insane asylum, and she is determined to free him. Even it means blackmailing a Duke.
This romance has a great balance between plot and character growth and I had a great time reading it! I definitely recommend if you're craving those millionaire superhero but in the 1740s vibes. (I know, it's a very specific mood.)
