Aimee and the Heartthrob by Ophelia London

3.0

So I have a review copy of the second book in this series, that I got before I realized it was a series, so of course I had to go back and read this one first.

And I have been super sick, cant sleep due to coughing. So last night during my coughing fits I decided to pick up my tablet and start this. I ended up reading the whole thing in a surprisingly short amount of time. I honestly don't even know how I managed it with being so sick. It was weird.

This is by no means a perfect book. Its not a brilliant literary work. It is a teen romance. It is even a little cheesy. Unrealistic. Its got a boy band. But for some reason I couldn't put it down! I got totally wrapped up in the cheesy, unrealistic love story. I am such a sucker sometimes!

I have to say, Miles sounds so lovable. He sounds like a sexy Harry Styles (I do not like One Direction, by the way, but I wont deny that Harry Styles is adorable). Aimee was alright, but I feel like I didn't really get a good feel for her personality.

It had a good romantic tension build up. Which I totally appreciate. So that was nice. The next book follows a different member of the band, the bad boy, and I am actually looking forward to reading and reviewing it!

I highly recommend this to people who love One Direction... Lol... or other Boy Bands.
