The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz
5.0
I really enjoyed this book. It was set during the Revolutionary War--but even better, it takes place in the region where I currently live! On the Ohio River in "Kentucke". It appears to be near the location of present day Boonesborough...and in many ways reminded me of the history of Fort Boonesborough (set up by Daniel Boone). There was reference to the area of Chillicothe Ohio as well as information regarding the Shawnee's involvement during the war.
I enjoyed all these historical/geographical references throughout the beautiful story. This story definitely kept my interest--not just romantic, but some intrigue tossed in too. I find this book very well written and highly enjoyable.
