This book gets very dark at times, because you are in a depressed teenage girls mind who is trying to cope with trauma, but that is not the only focus of the character. She is also funny and witty just like any other teenager would be, and she has personality. There are definitely some dark funny moments in this book. This is a very strong story of character development and healing.
Graphic: Panic attacks/disorders, Suicidal thoughts, and Sexual assault
Moderate: Bullying and Self harm
I wouldn’t recommend this book if you have recently been sexually assaulted or violated, because it does talk a lot about rape and describes the experience and what happens after. It’s a very inspiring book once you get to the end but does discuss some hard things.
