The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama XIV, Douglas Carlton Abrams

hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

For the last few weeks, this book has showed up all over my life. I’ll read a quote to my partner or a friend. I’ll share an idea with my boss. I had a discussion with a faith leader about it. I don’t like saying “this book changed my life,” but it gave me so much to think about and talk about and act on in my own life that it surely did. Going into this book, I knew very little about Archbishop Desmond Tutu. But I now want to read everything he’s ever written. Ever wrote. This book gave me new tools to relate to others and to find joy. That’s pretty life changing, I think.
