A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick
3.5
challenging dark sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

An intimate portrayal of drug induced psychosis and the dissemination of one's individuality, identity and consciousness. I hope Bob slowly regained some of his neural control again, took down New Path, and romanised with Donna - although I think his reality is much more bleak. Which, is accurate: drugs can do irreversible damage to us and this is quite an important book to illustrate that.
