A good story with likeable characters but...
I was bored for the first 25% of the novel, and oddly enough I hated the flashbacks...every time a new one popped up I audibly groaned, I really liked and was invested in the main storyline, the flashbacks pulled me right out of that groove.
I will say that once the action starts it really doesn't stop, it just takes a while for the action to start...and then the action is paused with every flashback.
I'm intrigued enough to add the sequel to my TBR though, so I guess that says something.
