I really wish I had enjoyed this book as the story is interesting. However, this book made me realize that sci-fi books, in particular sci-fi that involves robots and AI and is supposed to also be a bit light-hearted and philosophical (such as The Psalm for the Wild Built too) really is not my thing. I find it much easier to enjoy it visually as movies or TV. I was sadly very bored throughout this book and the only reason I didn't DNF it was because was so short and part of a book club read. The ending is what gave this book a 2* and not a 1.5.
