Picked this up on the recommendation of John Mark Comer. I found it comparable to (though lacking the specificity of) Changes That Heal in terms of bridging emotional health and spirituality. While the first part of the book unpacks the reasoning behind EHS, I found the last chapter - the Rule of Life - to be the most helpful in considering how EHS comes to life. Whether we realize it or not, our conscious or unconscious Rule of Life shapes our relationships with self/others/God. While the first part of the book was necessary for laying the groundwork, I wish the final chapter had either been integrated earlier in the book or expanded. It left me wanting more, but maybe that's not a bad thing. I'll just need to look for it in another place.
