I was really hoping to like this book more. It's fun to read a mystery and make guesses along the way to figure it out before the author reveals it. But this one was missing so much of the usual hint-dropping characteristics of a crime thriller that I just felt disconnected the whole time. I did like the characters and the development of their relationships though.
