World Without End
by Ken Follett
My bills are unpaid, my laundry is undone, my sink is piled high with dirty dishes and it's all Ken Follett's fault. World Without End is a thousand pages of a medieval soap opera and it's excellent. If you loved The Pillars of the Earth you'll enjoy this one as well. If you haven't read Pillars you may want to start with that one, although both books stand on their own.
I've read some criticism that World is derivative of Pillars and I can see that. Fortunately it's been at least four years since I read Pillars, so this story was fresh for me.
