Faceless Killers
by Henning Mankell
More like 3.5* but I’ll round up. Simultaneously irritated and impressed that he did not solve portions of the case (why was it so violent? What about the specific knot in the noose?). I suppose it’s realistic that it would not be nicely wrapped up or maybe comes out later in other books. The violence likely reflects a change in crime towards the violent. A change Wallander is seeing in society. Either way a mystery writer with above average writing chops. The mystery plot itself was meh.
