There is some weird fixation on babies in this book but generally it was a fast read. If you’re looking for something to whittle the time and enjoy historical dual-timeline books you’ll like this! Just be aware that the character development is limited, and apparently the only thing that one of the main characters wants is a baby and she’s never going to let you forget it.
