kmount 's review for:
Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: A Year of Food Life
by Barbara Kingsolver
This is the book that inspired me to start my own garden. Well, when I say garden I mean two containers with tomato plants in them, I live in the city.
In the book, Barbra moves her family from a city in the soutwest to a farm in VA. They vow to "live off the land" for a year, each family member contributes to this way of life and to the book; Barbra being the main author, her college age daugher giving her perspective at the end of every chapter (and recipe's too!), her husband giving the stats behind everything and even comments from her youngest! She also has a website where you can find more recipies and share home gardening stories.
