this was slightly under 4★ just because i feel like sometimes it was going too slow, and sometimes it was moving too fast.. the pacing was interesting and some of the loose ends were tied very haphazardly and rushed. the first book is definitely my favorite of the two.
but as a good note, i’m generally happy with how the events & relationships turned out— those were developed fairly well and it was great to see! not writing a full out review for this because i just don’t want to.. but overall would recommend this series because i think it is engaging and pretty fun (& at some points heart racing) to read ‧₊˚✩彡
