Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Café by Milly Johnson

5.0

Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe was an absolute joy to read. I've read quite a few of this authors books and all have been wonderful and this one is certainly no different.

We meet an array of characters, some are really wonderful characters and there's a few not so nice ones also. My favourite ones had to be Connie, Della and Cheryl. They are the main characters but I loved all three of them for all different reasons. They are all fighting their own battles but they certainly don't let the problems define them. Della I think I was slightly scared of but she has a heart of gold underneath that cold exterior and Connie and Cheryl are just both the nicest characters you could imagine. I for one would love to be working alongside them all.

Jimmy Diamond is quite the player and to start with I didn't really like him but for some reason even the not so nice characters I ended up feeling quite sorry for them. Not sure whether I was supposed to or not but then I have always been a bit of a softy.

Brandon Locke, the master chocolatier, I may be slightly shallow but how can you not fall for someone that makes chocolate for a living? It would be my dream job, well to at least taste them which the lucky Connie gets to do. Chocolate does feature quite a lot in this book so don't be surprised if it doesn't leave you wanting to rush out to buy a big box of chocolates whilst reading it.

I really enjoyed the storyline and after reading Afternoon Tea at the Sunflower Cafe I certainly have a new found respect for a lot of cleaners out there.

Milly Johnson has created yet another fantastic read which will leave you feeling all warm and gooey inside. Loved it and can't recommend it highly enough.
