An Echo in the Sorrow by Hailey Turner

5.0

5 stars - I loved it!

Well this book was nonstop and action packed. So much happened in this book I had to start taking notes on what was going on just so I didn’t forget for this review, which rarely happens for me. Also this book is very hard to review without spoiling anything so this is going to be a bit vague.

“Jono loved the man, but Patrick attracted trouble and started fights without even trying.”

First off, this book was so freaking emotional. Patrick is really put through the ringer and has everything in his life questioned. This whole book was basically filled with traumatic experiences for Patrick and it was heartbreaking, but I loved seeing him really lean on Jono and the Pack to get him through it. Jono and Patrick’s relationship continues to grow stronger. I loved seeing these two grow closer and lean on each other during stressful times.

“He was done praying to the gods and kneeling before their altars. Love was the only altar Jono would ever worship at from here on out, and Patrick would be the only one to hear his prayers.”

Like I said, so much happens in this but we do finally see the end of the battle between the two God Packs. It was just as action packed as I was expecting. While there is a lot of danger in this, we also get some happy scenes like Sage and Marek’s wedding. Overall, this was my favorite book of the series so far and I can’t wait to see how Patrick and Jono take down the Dominion Sect.
