an absolute page turner. one of those books where it’s so easy to hate the main character (who is despicableeee) but you cant turn away from seeing how far theyll take it, whittling away their actions with self assured rationalizations.
i found myself having to stand up and pace around the living room venting to my partner about the audacity the main character had. tbh, it’s a good read if you need to let out steam. it’s written with undertones of poignant insights and pokes at the prejudice blind spots people have when they aren’t willing to better themselves and instead virtue signal how good of a person they are.
