Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2: Angela by Brian Michael Bendis

2.0

A very fragmented comic with a plot that only had the barest patchwork presented here. As with anything that's part of one of Marvel's frequent multi-volume events, the story jumps all over the place and expects you to read the entire event to fill in the gaps.

Something something Thanos is attacking Earth. Something something Angela is back for no discernible reason whatsoever to bail the Guardians out. Something something Captain Marvel is on fire. Something something Tony Stark may be dead. Something something so might the rest of Earth. Something something Angela is now a part of the Guardians and everyone accepts it. Something something Thanos is on Earth.

You get just enough high points to cobble together a glimpse of the bigger picture, and absolutely nothing else. This is why I hate reading Marvel books. It is getting harder and harder to find something that stands on its own for more than 3-4 issues at a time.
