Unequal Affections: A Pride and Prejudice Retelling by Lara S. Ormiston

3.0

P&P is my favorite book and I reread it at least once a year. This book starts with Elizabeth accepting Darcy's first proposal and goes from there. The author does a good job seeding the rest of the story with the information that Elizabeth gains from Darcy's letter in the original, and making the two characters come to an understanding. It felt long at times, and of course it's not as good as the original, but overall I liked it. I was extremely grateful that there were no sex scenes. I read another P&P spinoff many years ago that was...earthy...and I'm not here for that.
