Is this longer than it should have been? Probably, no romance novel needs to be almost 600 pages (though I mean, I’m not going to complain about all the the hot sex) and yet I ate. It. Up. What can I say, I’m here for the closeted rich girl/openly gay girl from the ~wrong side of the tracks shit. This was labeled a “bully romance” which isn’t a genre I’ve tried before, and from the name I was kind of worried about how far that would go, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Like, Clay definitely did some bad shit to Liv, but it was antagonistic on both sides and since we get POVs, we can see that it’s more nuanced than you might think on the surface. The climax conflict works because it’s the same conflict they’ve been dealing with the whole book, and the resolution was
