I didn’t have ant expectations going into Shutter as I randomly checked it out of the library, but I really enjoyed it. The author’s use of Indigenous mythology and storytelling as threads in a murder mystery is intriguing and well done. The solution to the murder mystery isn’t particularly surprising but the story covers a lot - family histories, the supernatural, Native American traditions, and much more. A great read!
