I wanted to like this book, I really wanted to. Because I've read and enjoyed Heidt's Sister's in Spirit series before, I expected something more than was offered.
I know the woman can write, but "Meet Me in the Middle" turned out to be a frustrating read for me. Both Zane and Aislin couldn't convince and often their irrational behaviour and lack of trust towards each other left me feeling bewildered.
That broken record excisted even past the 90% mark of the story (say what?!) and therefore earns itself a spot on my wtf am I reading shelf :-(
I can just about squeeze out 2.5 stars for effort and the ugly cat.
