Slough House by Mick Herron

5.0

Yes! I’m not sure how he did it, but Mr. Herron has continued to create a series where each subsequent book is better than the last. Slough House is best by far. All of the various characters remain true to their earlier depictions. Quite a feat.

I love to see the creative way that the building housing the Slough Horses is introduced. Strait forward isn’t the way. With (very dry) humor we learn about the building differently in each book. My favorite so far is the view from the sun. Just these descriptions are worth the price of admission.

Go forth and enjoy! Note of caution, you will be happiest if you read them in order.
