House of Hollow delivered exactly the kind of creepy, fantastical vibes I hope for from dark fantasy horror books. Throughout the book I made educated guesses about what happened to the girls and who sought them because of the lore I am familiar with from other cultures. Even so, the narrative continuously surprised me and was equal parts sweetly breathtaking, creepy, and grotesque. The sisters share an inconceivable (to me) bond, and that alone makes them captivating. The ending left me with unanswered questions, but the girls also did not yet have those answers. Open endings and mysterious pasts intrigue me, because my mind keeps whirring over the story and its characters well after I've closed the back cover. WARNING. Once I fell into the cracks of the Hollows' world, I opened the book every chance I got.
