Every so often, I’m in the mood for a sci-fi horror that takes place in the isolation of space, and this book definitely delivered that for me. The mystery of what happened on the Aurora had me intrigued. I found the main character to be interesting, as well. Following along in her head as she tried to distinguish between reality and hallucination/ghosts added a whole other level of creepy to this book. You don’t just delve into the isolation of space—you’re plunged into the isolation of the mind.
I listened to the audiobook, and the emotion delivered by the narrator took me on a horrific ride of terror. Five stars to the narrator, Lauren Ezzo.
I hope I find more books like this in the future, and I’m crossing my fingers for a movie adaptation.
