The Virgin Next Door by Lauren Blakely
3.0
Meh. It was a cute story, but it was kind of predictable and on-the-surface, with no real depth. The characters themselves seemed to exist solely for the purpose of this book, with all the details of their lives significant only as to how they effected the story. Naturally, this made them kind of one-dimensional, and created a bit of an emotional disconnect for me, not only to the characters, but to the story itself. (Except the part where the heroine allowed her vile ex-coworker to humiliate her in a prospective job interview, doing nothing to defend herself or expose his violation of an NDA order he signed. That caused some emotion. Angry ones! At the heroine, for being a doormat. AND at the author, for writing her that way!)
I didn't hate it, but I don't think I'll remember anything about it by the time the next book in the series comes out.
