This is a trilogy that gets better with each book, and this finale is definitely the best of the series. I read the first two books over a year ago, but as soon as I started this one, I was right back into the story, no recaps necessary, still in love with these characters.

Because that's really the heart of this trilogy—the characters. Yes, it has dragons and a fast-paced plot and conspiracies and treachery and battles and all the things I love in a YA fantasy book, but these characters are so rich and so well-written that it really makes these books stand out. And this third book was no exception; the author manages to balance four different POVs with skill and care, each of our main characters getting the attention and development they deserve, while even our minor characters, such as Power and Freyda, get compelling arcs and satisfying conclusions.

This book made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me feel all the feels, and it's one I'm going to want to reread in the future. Now that the series is complete, it'd be a great one to binge, especially if you love YA fantasy books. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much to Penguin Teen and NetGalley for my e-ARC!
