On a personal note, I liked the concept of this book that she is investigating an event that happened for a project and how it developed. However, I would not recommend this book for a younger audience due to some of the content involved especially towards the end of the book. I personally found it difficult to stomach towards the end and nearly had to stop listening. I would say maybe 18+. I can understand that the author wanted to address some of the issues in the book and I agree they are important to talk about but if a teenager is wanting to read it then I would suggest their parent/guardian reads the book before or with or to speak with them during and after.
