I hate to say it.. but I think I liked this just as much as ACOMAF. Maybe a smidge more. Picking favorites is like trying to choose between your two children. But for real, how does SJM manage to make the 2nd and 5th books in a series better than the first? Usually series slowly go downhill after the first in my opinion. Anyway, let's get to it:

Let's say what we all realized when we finished the book. It was a filler. Almost nothing for the true plot happened aside from finding the Death Trove and killing that god damned queen. But somehow, someway, I loved almost every second of it.

- MY GIRL POWER BESTIES. NESTA/GWYN/EMERIE MAKE LIVING WORTH IT. I LOVE THEM. When the had a sleepover in the Wind House I literally could not have loved that part more. I will read it over and over, it's so cute. GIRL POWER. HELL YEAH THAT THEY REVIVED THE VALKYRIES AND WON THE FUCKING BLOOD RITE.

- I love Nesta and Cassian together. I LOVE them. I think the mating situation did get pretty confusing because I was like, are they? are they not? But Cassian.... I hate to say it but I think I love him just a little little little bit more than Rhys because he doesn't put off that douchey nature, and doesn't shame people as much. It was hard for me because as much as I love Rhys, he was so fucking rude to Nesta and same with Amren. Those two were not my friends reading this book (until the end ofc).

- Azriel. That's it. Just love him to pieces. (Also, Az and Gwyn? Who's with me)

Parts that made me sob my heart out:

- Nesta telling Feyre about the baby and her oncoming demise. That shattered my soul.

- Gwyn/Emerie/Nesta talking about what had happened to them. I cried so hard I had to stop reading.

- When I thought Cassian fucking STABBED himself.

- When Nesta gave up her powers to save the sister that she had always resented so much. Ugh. Much love here.

The parts I did not like as much but managed to sweep under the rug in my brain:

- Cassian told us what was in the box but was never able to get it out of the Sidra. Stupid man.

- I hate when people get pregnant in books. Don't know why, I just do. The gruelling details of Feyre's pregnancy, and then her near death because her ~womb~ was not fit for a bat baby was just a little bit lackluster for me. I wish that Feyre and Rhysand had taken centuries more for themselves, but it's alright. Having a baby amidst war was dumb. TYING THEIR LIVES TOGETHER WAS ALSO INCREDIBLY FUCKING DUMB!!!

- Amren. I get that it was tough love. But stop being a god damned bitch. Also her and Varian? I need to know more of what's going on and am upset SJM didn't give us more of a tidbit than when Nesta burst into the room on them fuggin.

- Lucien/Elain, that whole situation. It confuses me. I don't like it. Elain is weird about it. Nothing more to say.
-->Lastly, Elain. I'm sorry Elain/Az ships but she is actually the worst/most useless character in the entire series. I hate to say that I almost hope she dies, to bring on some anger and trauma. She does nothing.

For the next book: It better be Az or I will RIOT.
