So I picked up this book because I enjoyed the cover (the new cover from BOTM) because it had an actress on it I like.
I read a lot of YA (it’s my book reading guilty pleasure lol). But this may have been just a smidge too immature for me. The writing was not that great, and I felt like I was reading a book that a teenager wrote.
However, I like the idea of this plot. I don’t think it was executed as well as it could have been. I enjoyed reading Zoë’s diary entries so that redeemed the book for me because her character was really the only juicy part of the story.
I DO NOT like Echo, first of all, the name Echo? Also she really hooked up with her dead sisters man? I mean come on? Also Marc, wtf?
Overall it was childish but I finished it and I liked Zoe so I have it 3 stars.
I do however think it would make a good show with some better scripting and writing!
