I cannot express to you how much this book surprised me with how fun it was, I was expecting a half baked legacy sequel to a show that I have mixed opinions of at best. But then this book said "here's a still bitchy but domesticated Spike as a Watcher, a nerd slayer, and a tighter friend group of potential scoobies" and I said "say more right now!" bonus points for calling out Angel several decades after the fact and Jomps Wobbin-ism without the guilt! I had a fun time, and it's promising that I checked out the sequel immediately after finishing this.
