My Anti-Hero
by Tijan
When I find out Tijan has a new book coming out it’s a clear my calendar day.
I don’t care the type of book it is and I don’t even have to read the blurb.
All I know is it’s a must read.
I absolutely adored Billie.
What horrific experiences she been through.
While she’s socially awkward and isn’t really a people person.
She’s adorable and quirky. She’s so freaking cute.
I love strong women in books and Billie ranks right up there.
She has gone through horrific experiences at the young age of twelve.
Experiences that are beyond what her young self should have witnessed and lived.
But she survives, stands strong and brave.
Looking at Brett he’s living the dream life. But not all is as it seems.
His baggage is still a heavy load for him.
The minute he lays eyes on Billie something in her calls to him. They are kindred spirits.
And how the met is so freaking sweet and adorable
They have similarities in that they are both aloof and have trust issues.
But there’s a force and energy swirling between they that has a hold and bind on them.
Their connection is deep and real.
I loved how their characters grew as individuals and as a couple.
It was so heartwarming getting see them break down their walls and living fully.
They truly bring out the best in each other.
The author’s writing is beautifully crafted and the story and characters came to life.
I liked how she made this a slow burn, it matched the personalities of the characters.
Everything just fit together perfectly.
