This was my second outing with Peter Swanson, and it won’t be my last. Was this simple? Absolutely. Was it so engaging, so well-written, and so fast paced that I didn’t care? Absolutely. I do feel like the ending was not only predictable but regressive plot-wise, which is what edged it from a 4.5 to a 4, but I think it did almost everything it set out to do, and it was just a great time, which is all I can ask for.
