The writing was engaging, and the characters were likeable to a point. Though they were in their late 30s and were successfulin their careers, they seemed to have the emotional maturity of maybe a 20 yo.
The conflict felt forced, like the authors wanted to make Ian altruistic and a great guy, but also a jerk. It came off as immature. Also, the letters from Sabrina were too on the nose for the moment, so they felt contrived. Lastly, it felt off that London was such a great person, but she had no other friends, and her dad wasn't around, even though they had a good relationship? And where were the grandparents?
All-in-all, it was a cute story if you don't dig too deep.
