This was an endearing story between two awkward neighbors who were secretly obsessed with each other. Dexter was a hellhound who spent his time balanced between ridding the world of rotten souls and gathering torture ideas for Toby's next book, while Toby ogled his hot neighbor from his living room. Toby was such an awkward but charming mess, and I loved how Dexter embraced his eccentricities. Dexter definitely struggled trying to perfect his "human" persona, but the way these two were obsessed with each other overcame any obstacles in their path. I loved getting to meet Dexter's brothers, and I'm excited for their stories🖤
Tropes: fated mates, grumpy/sunshine, obsessed morally grey hero, awkwardly endearing hero, touch him and die, hidden identity, creepy stalker, MM romance, band of brothers, found family, STEAMY🔥
