for a book that was written over 20 years ago, it perfectly encapsulates the problems with the prison industrial complex, and other mental health institutions that align themselves with the justice system. although i wish the book could have gone into more detail into what we can do as a people to truly change and/or abolish this system and the way it effects our society. i  believe this book needs to be read by everyone.
