I planned to speed read this just to get through it, but found myself enjoying quite a bit. I wasn't that big of a fan of the fourth book in the series (except for that really cool flight scene), because it simply lacked plot. This one had more plot for sure, but didn't really wrap up at all. We don't see what happened to Fenchurch or resolve any of that plot line. That is my main issue with these books is that they leave a lot to be desired beyond what is told in the books. It just feels incomplete. Also, Trillian is not redeemable. You can't just drop off your emotional teenage kid with some guy she's never met. What the heck Trillian.
