Charlotte Walsh Likes to Win
by Jo Piazza
"Only let the world see half of your ambition. Half of the world can't handle seeing it all."
Isn't that just the saddest sentence ever? This book stirred up a lot up for me. We are all too familiar with women having to fight harder, only to be called bossy, too opinionated, or a bitch. The things I learned from this book about political campaigns made me sick. It spurred a convo with my husband about the horrendous allocation of wealth in this fricking country -- if these candidates took half of the money they were given and put it good use we'd have fewer hungry people, struggling people, etc. -- it's disgusting.
All in all, I enjoyed the realness of this book. No one is perfect, no one's marriage is perfect and this book showed that well.
