Definitely remember Felicity's stories being much cooler but alas in the last book her mother says to her, "...think of how you've changed in the past year. You're not the flighty, headstrong cold you used to be." Much of this series is about how fun "taming" girls can be interspersed with Patriot vs Loyalist history.

But don't get me started on the fact that her grandfather owned a PLANTATION and the book never even gave those enslaved a second thought? Abolitionists did exist in this time period!
