Noelle W. Ihli has done it again! She has delivered another gripping, nail biting, on the edge of your seat thriller in Such Quiet Girls. The unique storyline and different POV’s had me captivated from the very beginning and I could not put the book down.
This story is told from several POV’s and we are able to clearly see the decisions and life experiences that led each character to life altering point where everything comes to a head in the story. Ihli makes it easy to connect with each character in spite of some of the character’s being “the bad guys” within the story. As a reader, it is easy to feel empathy and angst for what each character is experiencing and form a personal attachment when this could just as easily happen to anyone in real life. It is no secret that ihli takes inspiration from past real life incidents for her books so reading her stories can be a bit disheartening because that means that these events (however loosely portrayed) actually took place for someone out in the world, at some point in life and they had to endure the horrific trauma in order to survive. The tension in this book was almost paralyzing and I couldn’t wait to see how it all unfolded and hopefully ended on a happy note… my mama heart would not be able to endure anything less.
Definitely an easy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read and a must for anyone looking for a fast paced, intense, emotionally driven plot!
