See Me by Nicholas Sparks

Did not finish book.
Like a third of the way through this I realized I hate it and I'm not going to finish it. The main characters are a ridiculously buff straight guy with a violent and troubled past who is unapologetically honest and a ridiculously timid straight woman who has no friends or life and is not even close to being a believable human. She's entirely one dimensional, her reactions and dialogue are unrealistic and superficial. She has someone following her with evil intentions and I can already tell the guy is going to save the damsel in distress. Sometimes damsel in distress stories are good, but I'm not into it when you can tell a man wrote the book because the female character is lacking any depth. blah.
