Gaaaaah! This was by far one of the best thrillers I'v  read in a long ass time! So much so, I cancelled plans I had so I could finish it in one sitting 🤭.

Things I loved:

āœ” Canadian Author šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦
āœ” Unreliable(ish?!) narrator (Not in its entirety which made this type of perspective unique. "Something" happens to her and we learn that after this "something" she lives with such anxiety and mental distress that you wonder about the accuracy or honesty of her thoughts and actions, and so does she)!
āœ” Fierce Mama plot
āœ” Huge family dramas and secrets on secrets
āœ” Small town syndrome (everyone knows everyone's biz. But do they really...?!?)
āœ” Total suss characters - everyone -  literally, everyone, is questionable in their motives and actions
āœ” Sketchy pasts and connections between some of the characters
āœ” Twist was unpredictable! There were a few misleading drops that totally fooled me and I loved being duped JUST when I thought I had it in the bag. Kept me hooked!
āœ” We live through a single day with the characters (and boy, what a day)

Things I didnt:
🚫 Protagonist had some supremely annoying moments and some of her husband's reactions (or lack thereof) enduced a few audible "seriously?!?"'s out of me. But otherwise, this was thriller gold!
