It's certainly a straight romance.
I didn't enjoy the portrayal of pregnancy, the exclusive use of 'males' and 'females' to refer to the men and women of the story, the complete loss of independence the main character appears to have had in 3 months, the unreasonable possessiveness of the love interest, and so on...
So much of the plot feels like it only happens to facilitate a sex scene, which I'm not necessarily complaining about? The sex scenes are the only bits of the book where the writing seems to be given any thought.
I'm not the target audience, but still - this is an exercise in writing characters who have sexual chemistry, but are completely one-dimensional otherwise. The entirety of her characterisation in this book is feeling like she isn't good enough to be in his life, which causes her to make a phenomenal amount of ridiculous choices. His character on the other hand, is literally just "rich and possessive". If you're into that, great, but be prepared to be let down if you'd like to feel some real emotion.
Added an extra .25 for the second reveal near the end. I actually enjoyed that part!
