I really tried. I pushed through the plodding parts of her other books and endured the parts about boring William but I’ve finally reached the end of fucks I can give about these characters. Meandering, slow, inconsistencies…also boring William. I just don’t care anymore and I’ve given up. It feels like Diana Gabaldon has, too.
