The House of Eve
by Sadeqa Johnson
I’d give “The House of Eve” a ten if able. This book hit me just right at the right time.
“The House of Eve” is all about unwed, young pregnant black women being forced to birth their children in a place called the Gingerbread House, then having their children ripped from them soon after birth, to be adopted to well-to-do black families. It is not based one a true story, but based on true events of the time.
It is a great book! It was emotional. I experienced every emotion possible.
